And the baking continues...

As I have mentioned I am doing some trial runs on baking projects for Claudia's birthday. Since it is July 5th I thought I would just embrace the American theme. And what could be more American than apple pie right? But since it would be kind of messy for a party I fell in love with the idea of Apple Pie Pops which I had seen all over the internet. I thought I would give this baby a whirl and boy I'm glad that I did.

If you are interested in a quick and easy way to make these delicious treats, I highly recommend the babycakes Pie Pop maker!

All I did was roll out some pre-made dough and cut out little circles (you can of course use homemade dough and pie filling, but for what I was trying to accomplish the pre-made stuff worked just great!!)

Then once the pie pop maker is heated you just place your cut out crust circles in this handy little machine.

Place a lollipop stick over top of it and add your pie filling.

Then place another piece of crust on top of that and close the lid to the pie pop maker and let it cook for about 2-4 minutes! That's it...it's that simple.

Once the pie pops turn a golden brown you remove them and let them cool for a few minutes and then they are ready to enjoy! I think these will be great for Claudia's party. (I think they would also work well for a bridal or baby shower as a favor wrapped in cellophane with a cute ribbon and label!)

And bonus...your whole house will smell like apple pie!

  5. Oh yum! I have never seen one of those little machines before. When we visit the States in the summer, my aunt will do a bonfire for the kids and she has a contraption for making camp pies -- you spray both sides, then put in wheat bread, put in your pie feeling, clamp the sides together and hold it over the fire. It comes out crispy and absolutely delicious -- very similar to what you've done here. Have a great weekend. Tammy PS I'm stopping by from Brenda's Cozy Little House. :)

  7. Hi...and sunny greetings from a Brit who lives in Spain. I'll have to echo what many have said here I've never seen a gadget like that before ...that can't be on sale here in Europe yet. My grand-daughter would just love it. It looks so easy to use...brilliant idea to make those apple mini pies into applepops.

I've found you via Cozy Little House.

    keep well
