Soooooo......it's been a while.

I am sorry I have not been blogging lately. Almost a month ago, my husband and I lost a very dear friend of ours. He was only 28 years old and he and his wife are expecting a beautiful baby girl on the way any day now. I guess I am fortunate enough to have not suffered a great deal of loss in my life so far, but that also has left me at kind of a loss with how to process everything. So I guess that coupled with the fact that I have been extremely busy with two sick little girls (yes...apparently they are sick for every major holiday) can sort of explain my absence lately. But, I will try to do better in the future and you should know that we ordered some cabinets to add to the empty walls in our kitchen and while we are waiting for them to arrive (3-5 weeks...aaahhh I can't wait that long) we are going to begin the sanding, priming, painting process of the existing cabinetry.

For now, here are some pictures of our Easter.

Maddie decorated some Easter cookies with her favorite Aunt!

The girls in their pretty Easter dresses for Saturday night. Can you tell Maddie has a fever??!! She is such a champ!

More pretty dresses for Sunday...

And probably the highlight of my Easter was watching Maddie find all of the Easter eggs that the Easter bunny dropped off in Gigi's yard!

I hope you all had a wonderful Easter!

  2. Jacqueline, Sounds like you've got lots on your plate. My post today deals with Life and Loss coincidentally. I don't really know what to say accept that I don't believe the pain of it ever goes away. I think we just need to process it and then put it in a compartment so we don't re-visit it all the time.

Looks like you had a wonderful Easter and the girls look adorable. My "little girl" just tired 21... Where does the time go??

Have a wonderful start to a new week.
